||Cam Hayes & Jack Ross lead attack on Croatia
Youth men came close to major upset in Turkey!
New Zealand youth men proved that they can match it with the best overnight when they came close to upsetting one of the Worlds super powers of water polo in going down 8-11 to Croatia at the World Youth Men's Championships in Istanbul.
Croatia had the better of the first quarter leading 4-2 at the break. But then the stadium erupted as the minnows from the Southern Hemisphere edged their way into the game and led 5-4 at the half way break.
Finding themselves locked at 7 goals apiece by the end of the third quarter, the kiwis sensed an upset not even thought about before. But the Croatians finished the better and the score finished up at 11-8 in their favour.
Cameron Hayes led the attack with 3 goals, Jack Ross netted two, Chris Cormack and Callum Lane rounded of the New Zealand scoring with a goal each.

||Jozsef's home town of Eger hosting Junior Men
Hutt?s Andy Skora and his 2014 New Zealand Water Polo Youth men have touched down in in the picturesque Hungarian town of Eger ? home of the Hutt Heat?s Senior Coach ? Dr Jozsef Sike
The team will spend just over a week being made to feel extremely welcome by Jozsef and his Hungarian hosts, lapping up the intensity of Hungarian training and the water polo culture that surrounds Hungarian life.
The locals came out in force to welcome our youth team and to play a match against their youth team- 16 to 18 year olds. The end result was 20-10 in the NZ Youth teams favour; but that didn't matter- new friendships were made and it serves as good preparation for the end goal- performing well in Turkey next month at the Youth Worlds.
Result; NZ 20 ( C Cormack, Lachie Watson (Hutt) 3 goals, Jack Ross (Hutt) , J.McLean , C.Lane, D.Marsden , M.Hansen,P. Hargraves, A. Sunde 2 goals,T.Harris 1).
