Hutt Heat Red win Series 2 in Auckland Hutt Heat Red Men have triumphed in Series 2 in Auckland going through undefeated and winning the final at Westwave today.
It was up and down in the game that was effectively the final of Men's National League Series Two.
Hutt Heat Red had Harbour in the first half, going up 2-5 - but North Harbour Turtles weren't about to throw in the towel.
The men from the North Shore came alive in the third quarter, managing to keep Hutt scoreless and score 4 goals and take the lead 6-5 heading into the final eight minutes.
North Harbour kept the momentum going in the fourth quarter scoring another to bulster their lead to two. Goalie Dylan Smith (formerly of Hutt) kept the cage clean for five consecutive Hutt attacks.
But it was Hutt's Matt Bryant who made two huge back to back shots that drew the score level 7-7.
Hutt's Chris Barton managed to put up a shot that bounced off Smith and popped into the goal for the winner.
Final score 7-8 and Series Two Champions Hutt Heat - congratulations!
